What You’ll Learn From Our Forklift Training Class
Our forklift training occurs under the direct supervision of experienced personnel, and consists of a combination of formal instruction with lectures, video tapes, practical training, and an evaluation of the operator’s performance in the workplace. Our training covers topics such as steering and maneuvering, visibility, fork and attachment adaptation, operation, and use limitations. Part 1: An Overview of Forklift Driving & Safety Practices
During the first portion of the class, we’ll explain how to properly and safely operate a forklift. Since safety is of the utmost importance, we’ll explain how to perform a thorough pre-trip safety inspection. From leak checks and tire tread to the chains and the horn–we’ll make sure you know what parts of the forklift to examine before every ride.
Part 2: Hands-On Driving & Safety Evaluation
Most people learn best by doing.That’s why during the second part of the class, we’ll put your knowledge and skills to the test! We’ll have you perform a pre-trip inspection, and then we’ll have you drive a forklift: an experienced trainer will thoroughly evaluate your forklift driving abilities, and If we notice mistakes, errors, or weaknesses, we’ll demonstrate how they should be corrected.
